The Positive Impact of Rick Shinto’s Leadership at InnovaCare Health

Rick Shinto is an experienced doctor in healthcare management boasting of other qualities such as good working relations, clear vision, and proper communication.

 

InnovaCare operates two health organs in the Island of Puerto Rico, namely PMC Medicare Choice, Inc., and MMM Healthcare Inc. Rick Shinto is a former Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year who began his career as an intern at Southern California and later a pulmonologist, before serving as Vice President of Medical Management. He worked as chief operating and medical officer (CMO) at Medical Pathways Management Company before moving to Cal Optima Health Plan in Orange County as the chief medical officer. He worked at NAMM California as the CMO, as COO and CMO of Medical Pathways Management Company and lately CEO Aveta Inc.

 

He graduated from the University of California with a B.S and later a medical degree from the State University of New York. He undertook his MBA at the University of Redlands.

 

Joining him at the leadership team at InnovaCare is Penelope Kokkinides who is the chief administrative officer. She worked previously as a COO at InnovaCare, and COO at Aveta Inc. Penelope Kokkinides has over 20 years in clinical management especially in Medicare and Medicaid programs helping in gaining more efficiency and organizational infrastructure of the two programs.

 

Since Dr. Rick Shinto was appointed CEO and President of InnovaCare in 2012, the company has registered improvements on all fronts in line with its mission statement. They have made it affordable for Puerto Ricans to visit the doctor a well as providing improved medical care. They use technology to offer cheaper healthcare services that maintain the quality standards of health governing bodies in the US.
